Of course it comes to no surprise, as Nintendo has been the leading champ in handheld consoles for over the past decade. While they have had past competitors like Sony, most of them have ended up failing instead. However, as of recently there has been a surge of competition hitting the market against the switch. In this page we’ll be looking into the best handheld consoles out and their features to see if they fit you.

Valve’s latest release of their steam deck and its different storage versions have made a big impression in the handheld scene. If you’re a pc enthusiast this handheld might just be perfect for you. Take a look at the pros and cons to make your decision.

Pros: It’s a portable PC with much more power than the switch, can be used like a normal PC with USB hub or the official dock.

Cons: Battery life of roughly 2-6 hours on most games, affordability is an issue if you’re on a budget, is limited to the games it can play from steam.

Logitech has also gotten into the handheld industry recently with their new G cloud handheld. The device aims to bring the cloud service gaming service to more people outside of consoles or PC. Check the Pros and cons to see whether this device might be right for you.

Pros: supports Xbox gameplay as well as Steam games through steam link, nice display which supports 1920 x 1080 FHD, great companion for the Xbox Game Pass.

Cons: only supports 1080p for PS5 remote play, mostly only for people who enjoy cloud gaming, there’s also other cheaper alternatives for similar performance.

Razer is another big PC company entering the handheld space with their upcoming Razer Edge which is also getting a 5g version exclusive from verizon. Additionally, its aiming to target mobile, PC and console players for the best handheld experience yet this January 2023. While we haven’t been able to test whether it’s worth the money, you can expect a review over the product upon release here in BluntReviewz.

Pros (so far)- Able to play android, PC, Xbox and cloud gaming, Has the powerful chip Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x Gen 1, it also has haptic triggers for the best FPS gameplay.

Cons(so far)- As of now the affordability is the only reason you may want to wait till reviews come out,

Nintendo has always been in the forefront of the handheld gaming industry, however with competition on the rise, nintendo may have to step it up power wise. Here are a few pros and cons that may let you know if these models are right for you.

Pros: It has a great selection of indie and first-party games mainly your mario, zelda and pokemon games. As well as having models for each personal preference either to play on TV or on the go.

Cons: Doesn’t have as much power to play big triple A games compared to its PC handheld counterparts. Also battery life seems to be a recurring problem especially with the terrible charger port placement.


Overall

It’s also important to note that almost every single handheld will always have an issue with playing bigger games, due to the limitations in hardware for these small devices to run them.
