It’s finally official, Resident Evil Death Island is set for a July 7th release later this summer. The CGI film will take place both 2 years before the 7th game and after the 6th; thus bridging the gap even closer between the recent entries to the series.
In the new poster we see that along with Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine that both Claire Redfield and Rebecca Chambers will be returning. This is exciting to know since most of these characters apart from Leon and Chris have been away from the series for awhile. The following is the full synopsis for the film’s plot: D.S.O. agent Leon S. Kennedy is on a mission to rescue Dr. Antonio Taylor from kidnappers when a mysterious woman thwarts his pursuit. Meanwhile, B.S.A.A. agent Chris Redfield is investigating a zombie outbreak in San Francisco, where the cause of the infection cannot be identified. The only thing the victims have in common is that they all visited Alcatraz Island recently. Following that clue, Chris and his team head to the island, where a new horror awaits them.
